About

Tom Sedito

While I was growing up I had the privilege to watch my mom become an artist in oils, acrylics and watercolor. Her studio was in our home and the air was constantly filled with the aroma of art supplies. As I grew older, my desire to become an artist waned, but my interest in design never left me. I spent over forty years designing interior and exterior spaces for cabinetry in Palm Beach County, Florida.

When I retired a few years ago, I searched for another creative outlet. I discovered a latent love for drawing while taking local art classes at the Lighthouse ArtCenter Gallery in Tequesta. I started my journey with sketching what I felt rather than what I saw. This lead me to find a passion for graphite pencil art and mixed media. I have a keen eye for detail and found it effortless to capture intimate details of my subjects. When you see my work, I think you will create your own story and appreciate my method of allowing you to do so through subject detail , contrast , humor and color. The body of work is diversified to allow you select a piece for any room in your home or place of business.

My ongoing work is on exhibit at the Artists’ Studios and Gallery in Tequesta, Florida.  The Armory Arts Center of West Palm Beach, and The Lighthouse Art Gallery has also shown my works. I  was recently on exhibit for six weeks at the Juno BeachTown Hall sponsored by The Friends of the Arts.
